A Room of My Own
"Give her a room of her own and five hundred a year, let her speak her mind and leave out half that she now puts in, and she will write a better book one of these days." V. Woolf
A room, a pen, and freedom of expression … Virginia Woolf and many women of her time and earlier struggled to gain access to basic needs to … write! Having a private space with her own desk, ink and papers was a fictional idea!
Today!
In your own space you create your own setting, filled with melodies you like, fragrances that ignites your thoughts, not to neglect the fact of having a hot cup of coffee on the side, filling your brain with that fresh aroma. Whether day or night, that space is completely yours!
What if you can access this space virtually, would it be the same experience? It depends on your mood set, and if the whole experience of writing means having the essentials that you have in your space. It is all in your brain, in the clicking of a keyboard, in the letters you type, and in the words you share!
I intend to fill this room of my own with thoughts that lingers in my mind for quite long and seems to search for the light, they just want to breath, you may inhale them or leave them swim in the vast universe. Just let them be!
